Appointments
Routine appointments
To make a routine appointment you have three options:
• Call us on 020 8522 0222
• Come into the clinic to speak in person with our reception team
You may request a chaperone, translator or advocate for any consultation. Please let us know when booking, or the person consulting you if any of these are wanted or needed.
We aim to process all appointment requests within two working days.
Urgent appointments
Some appointments are kept available daily for more urgent issues – particularly for babies, elderly, vulnerable and those approaching the end of life.
These can be accessed by calling us on 020 8522 0222 or coming in to speak with our reception team.
If there are no urgent appointments left for the day, you can call 111 or contact them online. They can advise on how to get the care you need.
You may call the Newham GP Cooperative when we are closed and you need an urgent appointment. You can contact them on 020 7511 8880.
Cancelling your appointment
If you have an appointment and cannot attend or wish to cancel, please let us know by calling us.
Unattended appointments can mean longer waiting times for everyone.
Evenings and weekends
During evenings and weekends some extended access appointments are available across North Newham – these are provided by other practices on behalf of Claremont Clinic. You may be offered one of these appointments
You may call the Newham GP Cooperative when we are closed and you need an urgent appointment. You can contact them on 020 7511 8880.
Home visits
We provide home visits for our patients who are on our housebound register or unable to get to Claremont Clinic for medical reasons.
Wherever possible, it is better to try and come into the practice or have a telephone consultation – the clinician will have live access to your records and there is more equipment available.
If you wish to request a home visit then you must call reception on 020 8522 0222 before 12pm (midday) for a same-day assessment with a clinician.
Please note that all requests will result in a telephone assessment with a clinician prior to a home visit being organised. You may receive a visit by one of the rapid response team following this assessment. If it is more urgent then we suggest calling 111, or the Newham GP Cooperative on 020 7511 8880 after 6.30pm.
