Planned New Appointment And Telephone System April 2026
In line with latest NHS guidelines, patient feedback about long waits on the telephone/getting appointments, and to align with many local practices, Claremont Clinic will start using “Total Triage” alongside a new telephone system in April 2026.
This will mean instant pick up after three rings on the telephone, as well as greater fairness in getting an appointment, with a doctor assessing every request. You will be able to go online, call us, or come into Claremont Clinic to fill out a triage form. The form will tell us why you want an appointment. These will be looked at by a doctor and a decision made regarding the next steps/appointment, which you will be informed of within 24 hours. This should ensure faster first contact and improve access.
We understand that changes can be difficult. We are here to help and take on board feedback. This model has been proven to reduce waiting times overall for appointments, ensure we see the most urgent cases promptly and will allow us to provide a better service for you.
